APIs are everywhere
Picture this: you are trying to come up with a new marketing strategy, when someone suggests you build a custom event with an API. Suddenly, it's like everyone is speaking another language, with APIs and technical jargon being thrown around.
Sound familiar? You're not alone. The aim of this course is to demystify APIs, giving you the background knowledge and tools you need to understand and troubleshoot APIs, communicate your needs with developers, and even make some API calls of your own.

What is an API?
Learn what an API is and how Beantown coffee used Klaviyo APIs to build a custom solution.
Explore ways APIs can benefit your brand
The language of APIs is a universal one; it's not only used by Klaviyo. Once you start learning about APIs, you will start seeing them everywhere. For example, if you search for "Boston" on Google, you will see not only links from across the web, but also images, a map, weather, and travel information.
How does all of this information get to your browser? Software companies like Google use APIs to share data between multiple systems. When you make your search, Google makes an API call to weather.com, which returns real-time data about Boston's weather that is then rendered directly in your browser.
Throughout this course, you will see how other Klaviyo customers have used APIs to bolster their business strategy. These examples can all be adapted to your unique marketing goals. Be creative, and the possibilities are limitless.
