Before the call: what to research
Have a client in mind? Follow these steps:
Step 1: Research the prospect
- Check their LinkedIn profile (job title, company, ICP fit with Klaviyo).
- Review their company website to understand their brand and offerings.
- Analyze their tech stack (https://builtwith.com/ is a great tool for this).
- Review prospect’s job info via LinkedIn (title, company name, ICP fit with Klaviyo).
Step 2: Experience their customer journey
- Start by browsing their website and identifying opportunities for optimization (e.g.: is their form set up or optimized)?
- Sign up for their email or SMS newsletter.
- Add a product to your cart and observe what happens next.
- Browse similar products to see if recommendations are in place.
Step 3: Identify opportunities
- Did you receive a strong cart abandonment email or SMS?
- Was there a recommendation engine suggesting similar products?
- Use these insights to form a hypothesis of value or find a trigger to personalize your outreach.
