How to use dashboards in Klaviyo
Configure core dashboards and create your own to monitor account health, measure performance, and track revenue. In the following video, you'll learn how to add and remove cards on dashboards, customizing this tool to best fit your needs.
Configure new dashboards
With all of the cards available to add to dashboards, there are a lot of ways to customize them to fit your brand and use cases. Use the cards found in the Data View Library to build dashboards that will level up your analytics experience and grow with Klaviyo.
Let's walk through a few examples of how you can configure your own dashboards from scratch.
Deliverability dashboard
Card configuration: Email deliverability by domain card, email deliverability card (see example below), and SMS deliverability cards.
Add all cards associated with your deliverability to one dashboard, so that you maintain a high-level awareness of how your messages are being delivered. Improving your deliverability will increase the number of messages you can successfully send and can ultimately result in greater revenue.
- For email, you can track the performance of each domain and ensure that you keep bounce, spam, and unsubscribe rates low.
- For texts, you can track failed to deliver and unsubscribe rate.
Example: Bola's Baked Goods wants to improve their deliverability and recently cleaned their lists to remove inactive profiles. They create a deliverability dashboard to monitor deliverability over time to see if their efforts are successful. This dashboard allows them to see that over the 90 days following their list cleaning, their deliverability improved substantially. This dashboard validated their strategy's success and they continue to monitor performance moving forward.
Flows dashboard
Card configuration: Flows performance card, flows performance details card, flows volume card, and flows conversion card (see example below).
Add all of these helpful flows cards to a single dashboard to monitor your overall flows performance. This view will empower you to let these automations run on their own, while ensuring proper behavior. Check this report regularly and make strategic changes as needed to set yourself up for long-term success. In particular, this view allows you to:
- Analyze flow performance by channel against industry benchmarks and your peers.
- Dive deeper into the data of specific flows.
- Track total flow volume and conversions to identify what is or is not working for your flows strategy.
Example: Bola's Baked Goods has been creating a lot of new flows. They created a flows dashboard to monitor all aspects of their flow performance from deliverability to conversions to ensure their strategy is executing as planned. They see which flows are performing well and gather insights to replicate success across other low-performing flows. This leads to more efficient marketing spend and greater revenue from automations.
Campaigns dashboard
Card configuration: Campaign performance card and campaign performance details card (see example below).
This simple dashboard configuration pulls 2 vital campaign cards together to help you analyze campaign performance. Compare the performance of all of your campaigns against benchmarks to identify which message strategies perform best. You can also see the performance of individual campaigns and compare them against each other. This dashboard will help you to:
- Improve campaign performance.
- Drive more revenue from campaigns.
Example: Bola's Baked Goods sends a weekly newsletter campaign with updates on menu items and often a special deal. They created a campaigns dashboard to track the success of each campaign and identify areas of improvement. Upon reviewing the campaign's performance detail card, they notice that a recent newsletter has a much lower open rate than previous sends. Seeing key metrics side-by-side for each of these campaigns alerts them of this poor performance. They investigate further and find that their call-to-action language is not very compelling. They update the language for their next newsletter and see major improvements.
These are only a few of the different ways you can configure dashboards to monitor performance and increase revenue. Explore more ways you can leverage all of the cards available in the data view library to meet your business needs.
