    Throughout Klaviyo, you may notice artificial intelligence (AI) features promoted as you build out content. Learn how to use them to your advantage to speed up the content creation process, so that you can quickly deliver high-impact content.

With Klaviyo’s AI-powered product suite, you can use rapid insights and machine-engineered copy to produce impactful messages in record time. Let’s dive into how to use these features to power marketing across the full customer journey.

    Sign-up form optimization

    Journey stage: Subscriber acquisition

    Purpose:

    Run an optimization test on a sign-up form to determine the most impactful display timing settings. This is particularly helpful if you have several live forms set to appear in different situations.

    For instance, you may want to test the efficacy of a form that collects email newsletter sign-ups to see if the form performs best upon appearing at page load versus after a 30 second time delay. Klaviyo will determine which timing results in the highest form submission rates, so you can adjust your strategy accordingly.

    Try it yourself:

    • Navigate to the form editor for your desired sign-up form.
    • Select Create A/B test, and choose an Optimization test.
    • Give your test a name and edit the desired traffic selection settings for the control versus the test group.
    • Kick off the process and use the Optimization test results page to monitor the results. Depending on how much traffic your form gets, this can take up to 90 days to complete.

    Segment AI

    Journey stage: Consideration through advocacy

    Purpose:

    Input a set of normal sentences about who to include in a segment, and Klaviyo will build the segment for you. This can save you time, while still allowing you to refine and edit as needed. That way, you can focus more on strategic planning, and less on manual segment creation and upkeep.

    Try it yourself:

    • Upon creating a new segment, click Define with AI instead of inputting conditions.
    • Type a phrase that describes your desired segment (e.g., “build a 90-day engaged text message segment”).
    • Preview and edit the segment as needed, then save.

    Text message and email generators

    Journey stage: Consideration through advocacy

    Purpose:

    Klaviyo has multiple tools to help you quickly draft email and text copy. This AI-generated content can serve as a baseline that you can refine and build from, giving you the flexibility to produce content at scale.

    Try it yourself:

    • Use the subject line assistant to draft a subject line that aligns with your brand and content goals. Learn more about the subject line assistant.
    • Use Email AI to generate new email content, including images, text blocks (with AI-generated copy), buttons and more. Learn more about Email AI.
    • Use Klaviyo’s SMS assistant to auto-generate a selection of text messages, specifically built to support your message and branding. Choose from the selection or use them as inspiration for your own copy. Learn more about the SMS assistant.

    AI review replies

    Journey stage: Retention and advocacy

    Purpose:

    Use AI review replies to cut down the time it would otherwise take you to respond to both positive and negative reviews for products. Replies are crucial since they show customers that you truly value their input. 

    Try it yourself:

    • Click into a review; for instance, a 4- or 5-star rating that details a positive customer experience.
    • Click Draft reply with AI and choose from a set of responses.
    • Add your brand's support email address for this customer to reach out to as needed.

    Predictive analytics

    Journey stage: Retention and advocacy

    Purpose:

    Predictive analytics can help you assess a customer’s long-term behavior and attributes, so that you can better understand them and serve up relevant content. For example, use this data to:

    • Develop impactful segments to target with personalized messages (e.g., future VIPs who are likely to spend over a certain threshold in the future)
    • Trigger flows (e.g., email shoppers when their expected next order date arrives).

    Try it yourself:

    • Within a Klaviyo account, select a customer profile from the Profiles page.
    • Under Metrics and insights, locate a set of predictive analytics information, including various CLV calculations, predicted gender, churn risk, and average time between orders.
