    Create a deliverability report

As you send emails and SMS, it is important to monitor your performance over time. In this lesson, you'll learn how to track your deliverability performance directly in Klaviyo, and send your very own report straight to your inbox!

Build a custom deliverability report in Klaviyo

Follow these 3 key steps to build, analyze, and schedule custom reports to measure your deliverability.

Step 1 : Build your report

Navigate to Custom Reports. Choose whether to build a report from scratch and add in deliverability metrics that matter most to you (for email and/or SMS), or utilize a pre-built option.

To simplify this process, you can select Email Deliverability by Campaign, a multi-metric report that is fully constructed in your account with email-specific metrics.

Step 2 : Analyze the results

After you run your report and analyze the initial results, pay close attention to where you can improve in your next email send. In particular, aim for “healthy” email deliverability rates, as shown in the table below. These are overall benchmarks, but you can view benchmarks specific to your industry in this article.

If you are in the process of warming your account, send emails gradually to achieve “healthy” rates over time. Likewise, if your deliverability rates consistently land in the “at risk” or "needs attention" regions, you should consider going through the warming process again to get your sender reputation back on track.

Step 3 : Schedule your report

Don’t stop there — take your analytics to the next level! Schedule your report to be sent straight to your inbox at a cadence of your choice, say once a month or week.

    Next Steps

Be consistent and monitor your results over time. Tracking your performance and making changes when you see dips in key deliverability metrics will help ensure you reach your subscribers' inboxes and keep your sender reputation intact.
