If you have built an upcoming email campaign, you can create a complementary text message in minutes. Send this text to a relevant segment of SMS subscribers and send the original email to a relevant segment of email-only subscribers.
Let’s walk through an example of how this works. SWAK is launching their premier Black Friday sale email campaign next week and they want to double down with a similar text, alerting top subscribers right away that it’s time to shop. When scheduling their email, they will:
- Click the option to Add an SMS.
- Select their target audience, in this case their SMS list.
- Edit the copy of their text message and schedule.
It’s that simple. Klaviyo even provides recommended copy based on the contents of their original email so they don’t need to come up with it themselves!
After the campaign is sent, you will then be able to view analytics for both the SMS and email. This will help you to determine which channel performs best for the type of campaign content you've just sent so that you can learn and grow over time.
