What are campaigns, and why should I use them?
In Klaviyo, campaigns refer to one-time targeted messages sent to a specific audience. Your campaigns can be newsletters, promotions, or announcements that encourage your subscribers to engage with your brand. You can choose to create and send your campaigns immediately, or schedule them to send at a later date.
Campaigns help promote your brand while you build relationships and customer loyalty, and are key for driving revenue growth. By creating a campaign strategy, you can reach your subscribers with the messages that they want to receive, and keep them engaged with relevant and valuable information.
Campaigns vs. flows
Campaigns and flows are 2 functionalities in Klaviyo that allow you send messages to your subscribers. However, there are some key differences between campaigns and flows that you should know before you begin creating campaigns.
Campaigns
Campaigns are one-time sends that you send to a specific list or targeted segment.
Campaigns are created and scheduled manually, and can be sent either immediately or at a specified date and time in the future.
Some examples of common campaigns include a weekly newsletter, a new product launch, or a holiday sale announcement.
Flows
Flows, or automations, are set up in advance to send personalized messages triggered by a customer's actions.
Once set, customers move through the flow based on the criteria you set.
Some examples of common flows include a welcome email when someone subscribes to your marketing list, or a thank-you email sent after a subscriber makes a purchase.
