In the above video, one of the strategies we learned is how Bola’s Baked Goods implements SMS into their transactional flows: order confirmation and order updates. Transactional messages are different from promotional messages, and require some additional regulations. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the resources below if you are interested in setting up transactional SMS with your brand. Note: Klaviyo currently only supports transactional SMS for paid customers with a Shopify integration.

Abandoned cart reminder
Remind your subscribers about the awesome products left in their expiring cart.
It’s recommended to personalize this message, with details such as the subscriber’s first name and the product name.
The more personalized the message, the more relevant the reminder and the more likely your subscribers will return to the customer buying journey.
Browse abandonment reminder
Similar to your abandoned cart messages, don’t let your subscribers forget about products they’ve frequently viewed on your site.
You could consider sending this message as an MMS (if this functionality is available in your area) by including an image of the product to inspire them to make a purchase.
Order confirmation message
When subscribers place an order, they’re excited about your brand and will be looking for a confirmation message about their purchase.
